How can an Animal Communicator help me? Animal communicators can assist you with a variety of issues such as: behavioral problems, death and dying, comforting a grieving animal, separation anxiety, trauma, emotional issues, rivalries, a new baby in the house, a new animal coming into the house, vacations and moving, life changes, lost animals, health concerns, aspects of their personality, problems involving former owners, their purpose in life, and so much more. An Animal Communicator can help you and your animal companion(s) learn about each other so the quality of your relationship is improved. Through your questions and your animal companion's answers, you gain insight and understanding about each other. Most people realize that animals are intelligent, wise beings and want to deepen and better understand the relationship they have with their animal companion(s). Animal Communicators can often get to the root of a behavior problem that has not been solved through more traditional methods. People are beginning to recognize the more spiritual aspects of animals. Even after they have died, an animal companion has an invisible bond of love with us and many times people have unanswered questions or messages they wish to communicate to their deceased animals. Animal Communicators can convey messages to the animal and also from the animal. Many people like to have several animals in their household, people often like to know from their current animal companion(s) what kind of animal it would like. Same species? Different? Male, female, how old? It is also wise to ask the same questions of the new animal. Do you want to live with us? Do you like other animals or do you want to be the only one? There are as many questions that can be answered as there are people and animals. What if something you told me doesn't seem correct? No one is 100% accurate all of the time. Many times after a session, people will reflect on the information received and remember the incident or detail that was related to them. Some animal companions have been in multiple homes or have been strays and the information is hard to validate. Most people have an intuitive sense of their own whether the information fits with their animal companion, even if they are not the original owner. Many times if the person/client observes their animal and the world that we live in, they will discover the information that at the time of the conversation did not seem correct. Are you a "pet psychic"? No. I do not predict the future or the nature of any problem. I act as a translator between you and your animals and convey to you what they say. My goal is to help people and their animal companions better understand each other by enhancing communication. If you look up the definition of Psychic, you will see that animal communicators use some of the same 'tools' that psychics use. Some animal communicators are psychics. Some choose to use the term pet psychic while others choose not to. I choose not to. Does the animal need to be present to communicate telepathically? No. Telepathy is done long distance and is unaffected by time and space. It is a heart to heart, soul to soul, mind to mind connection and physical presence is simply not necessary. In fact, sometimes having the animal present can be a distraction. This is the reason that most consultations are done over the telephone or via email. Of course communication can be done with the animal present and some communicators prefer to work that way. Can anyone communicate with an animal? Yes! Everyone is born with the ability but it gets socialized out of us to varying degrees, usually around the time that we learn to read and write. We just need to learn or be taught how to remember. We can all communicate with our precious animals friends. You can learn how to do this by reading books on the subject, or even better by taking a beginning workshop. An in-person workshop has many benefits that you can not receive in a book, video or email course. Being in a group of like minded people, learning to open to the animals, has many advantages. As people share what they receive from an animal, you may realize that you 'got' the same information and might not have realized that it was important. A workshop also gives you a teacher that will help you see your strengths, guide you, and help you open even more to the animals. All you need to communicate with your animal friends is an open mind and a loving feeling for the animal. If you communicate with my animal long distance, how do you know for sure it is my animal you are talking with? I always ask the animals person to give me the animals name, age, sex, color and breed and/or to send me a photo. This connection works much like a television or radio signal. There are hundreds and thousands of TV and radio stations all sending out signals from their transmitter. The signals are invisible and you have to have a radio or TV to receive the signal. You must then tune in the right channel or frequency to get the station that you wish to listen to or watch. Telepathy works much in the same way. All beings, human and animals, have their own unique information, much like a finger print. There is an energy field around all beings. Like a radio dial, the animal communicator tunes into that frequency. A picture will usually develop in my head and a connection in my heart is felt and I will usually feel the animal's personality and energy. Sometimes, another animal in the household, may come through and want to be heard first. Animals are usually very eager and look forward to "connecting" telepathically during a consultation. Do you communicate with animals who have passed over? Yes, we can communicate with our animal friends in spirit much the same way we can communicate with live animals. Communicating with an animal in spirit feels very much like talking to an animal long distant. Communicating with animals in spirit is a common request from people and can be quite healing on many levels. Will my animal give away any personal secrets? Don't worry, animals are innocent and loyal. They will not offer up any information that would make you uncomfortable, or that they feel is private. I stick to the questions that the human companion gives me and abide by a strict code of ethics developed by Penelope Smith, a pioneer in the field of Animal Communication. (see Code of Ethics). I do have friends that say that the animals will 'tell' everything! That you don't have any secrets. That always makes me laugh. What are the most intelligent animals you have spoken with? I view each animal that I am privileged to speak with as an individual. They are all spiritual beings who inhabit different physical forms. One is not better than the other, just different. Intelligence can not be judged by our "definition" of intelligence, because that only relates to human standards. Some animals "communicate telepathically" clearer or more in-depth than others, but that again is an individual trait. Can you tell me what's wrong physically with my pet? I do not name or treat diseases. Only a veterinarian can do that. I can tell you if your animal companion is uncomfortable, in pain of some kind and where this is located in their body. If this is the case I would then suggest that you seek the care of a veterinarian. I will be happy to give you a list of veterinarians that have alternative practices such as acupuncture, chiropractic and homeopathy. What I can do is assist with releasing emotional stress, counseling, body work and Reiki, but you must first consult with a veterinarian. Can you find my lost animal? Many times an animal communicator can help you find out circumstances of your pet's disappearance. Information can only be provided that your pet gives from its perspective, which may be affected by emotions and physical condition. Many times an animal communicator can help you find your lost animal. Other times animal communication does not help. How do the animals feel about animal communication? They love it and are deeply grateful for being listened to. People often report their animals' behaviors noticeably and permanently change after one session, including being much more relaxed. Many animals are so happy that you actually care about what they have to say. They have been trying to be 'heard' and understood for most of their life. Some animals are shocked that a human actually cares what they have to say. This can be very empowering for them. Everyone wants to be heard or listened to. This is true of all animals. I have seen magic happen with shelter/rescue animals. Listening to them may be the very first time in their life that a human has been kind and caring enough to actually listen to them. Is there anything animals won't say? Sometimes animals run behavior "scams" and they aren't always immediately willing to give them up. Sometimes also, they are reluctant to say things they feel fearing they will greatly upset their humans. Two Universal Laws apply here, however: 1), animals are required to tell the Truth, which means they always eventually admit the scam or speak the Truth; 2), companion animals are wired for wholeness, including cooperation, and always work with their humans to resolve the situation, usually offering great ideas! I have had animal request that I not repeat something that they tell me. I have learned to honor their request. The situation is in their past, they needed to talk it out and then they release it and move on, unlike we humans who tend to hold on to our issues.
