Straight From the Horse's Mouth by Amelia Kinkade
I just love this book. I have read many books about animal communication.
Many I did not resonate with because I did not receive information from
animals in the same way the authors do. When I read this book I was able to
exclaim, "That is how I receive information!" We are each unique
individuals. Please read many books on the subject of animals communication.
Each one has wonderful storied about animals. Amelia Kinkade is the "Pet
Psychic" to the stars. She lives in Hollywood and was an actress. Now she
travels the world teaching and communicating with animals. |
| |
The Language of Miracles
by Amelia Kinkade
If you are looking for a book that used science to 'prove'
that animal communication is 'real', this is the book for you. Amelia uses
quantum physics and other modalities to explain how telepathic communication
with animals works. There are lots of wonderful and fun animal stories
throughout the book. I just love this book. |

Horses: From Our Side Of The Fence
by Sandy Lagno
This book at times is a difficult read, but a must read
for all animal lovers that would like to deepen their communication with
animals. Sandy Lagno is an animal communicator. Her book is her
communications with horses. So much wonderful information right from the
horses mouth. Learn what many horses have to say and birth, weaning,
holistic medicine, breeding, and every phase of their lives and deaths.
Sandy's translation of what she receives from the horses can be difficult to
read, but she translates a bit more at the side of each page to help the
reader understand what the horses are telling her. I have never had a
conversation with an animal like this, but each of us receive information
from animals in different ways. The book will give you much to ponder and
think about, not only when it comes to horses, but all of our companion
animals. I highly recommend. |

The Man Who Listens to Horses by Monty Roberts
The 'original' horse whisper. This is a wonderful story of how he learned
to connect with horses and turn from a brutal method of "breaking" a horse
to what he calls 'gentling'. A wonderful story of his childhood, to his
observations of wild horse herds, to his present life of teaching others. |
| |
The Tao of Equus: A Woman's
Journey of Healing and Transformation through the Way of the Horse
by Linda Kohanov
This book is not about animal communication as such, but what
Linda does in this book is communication with her horses as well as other
animals. This book is her amazing journey from her life before horses to her
present life working with equine assisted psychotherapy. Some people say
that this book is too scientific for them. I say, skip over those parts and
read the stories. The stories are amazing and life changing. You do not have
to be a horse person to fall in love with this book. Another must read!
|
| |
Riding Between The Worlds
by Linda Kohanov This
book is a sequel to The Tao of Equus. The adventure and amazing stories
continue. The horses (and all animals for that matter) want us to be our
"authentic selves". When we are not, they respond as such. When we get
'real' the animals will be right there by our sides helping us in our lives.
How blessed we are to have the animals in our lives. Enjoy this book. |

Pottenger's Cats: A Study in Nutrition
by
Francis Marion Pottenger
This is a MUST read for anyone that is interested in just how
are animal companions are affected by what they eat. If you love scientific
provings this is the book for you. This study took two groups of cats and
followed them for many years. One group was fed kibble and the other was fed raw
milk and meat. If I remember correctly (I read this book back in the mid 90's)
the group that was fed the kibble and caned food over generations, developed
bone and other deformities, the grass where they lived died, and many other
things. The book has actual x-rays to show various situations so there is no
doubt in the readers mind. Eventually these cats all became sterile and died
out. The group with the raw food thrived. No medical issues. The grass where
they lived stayed green and alive and each generation on the raw food became
stronger and healthier. This book proves why our animals are getting so many
cases of cancer and other diseases that never happened before the invention of
processed food for our animal companions. |

and many suggestions for how to best proceed. There is a great section about
going to the vet. You know that kitties are very sensitive. Learn how to clip
their toe nails. Didn't think this was possible? Well it is. This is how my
husband and I learned. Learn how all kitties 'blink' I love you! |

The Animal Reiki Handbook - Finding Your Way With Reiki in Your Local
Shelter, Sanctuary or Rescue
by Kathleen Prasad
This is the SARA handbook. I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants
to learn how to work with Reiki and an animal, including your companion animal.
This book talks about the ethics when working with animals as well as the
approach as one needs to approach an animal during a Reiki session completely
differently than when working with a human. The animal must ALWAYS control the
session. Even if you never plan on working with shelter animals this book is a
must. You will love the photos along with information from many of the founding
SARA (Shelter Animal Reiki Association) members.

Animal Reiki by Elizabeth Fulton and
Kathleen Prasad This is the only book on the market that I know of about Animal
Reiki. Both Kathleen and Elizabeth share wonderful stories and experiences
that they have had with animals and Reiki. Their approach and philosophy
toward animals resonates with mine. Above all you must listen to the animals
and respect their wants and needs working together in harmony to accomplish
the goal of health. Offering Reiki to an animal is very different than
working with humans. The practitioner must always ask the animal permission and
respect them if they say "no". Always offer Reiki with hands off the body. The
animals will most likely come to you and put the body part that needs healing in
your hands. Never force an animal to accept Reiki.

Tails From the Source - Newsletter
2004-2005
by Kathleen Prasad
This is a wonderful book of you would like to read stories about Reiki
and animals. It was a page turner for me. I read it in a couple of nights.
This book is filled with stories by the author as well as various other
people from around the world, sharing their experiences with animals and
Reiki. I suggest this book for anyone that is interested in learning about
Reiki and animals as well as all animal lovers and Reiki practitioners alike.
The stories are about all phases of life and the wonders of working with
Reiki and even miracles that can happen when you just get out of the way and
allow the Reiki to do what it does best. Connect with the spirit of Reiki
and the animals as the animals are connected to us, heart to heart and soul
to soul. |
